Kwan Yin is truly exquisite...The Goddess of mercy, compassion and forgiveness, she is considered to be one of the most beloved Goddesses in the Buddhist tradition. She is a symbol of acceptance and true pardon. Acting as a watchful, omnipresent mother, she immediately reaches out to alleviate suffering. Kwan Yin is also known as the patroness of women and birth, recognized as the Fertility Goddess. She is a great defender of the weak and the ill and especially children and  babies. The gentle “Protectress” also has a strong resonance with Virgin Mary, surrounding us with unconditional love. She is also the one to call upon in times of difficulty and peril.
